Wladimir Klitschko has postponed his WBO/IBF and WBA Super world heavyweight title defence against Tyson Fury on October 24 due to a calf injury.

Klitschko confirmed the injury in a short video message on social media, while also stating the fight will be rescheduled and describing the injury as ‘minor’.

Fury is no stranger to injury woes, as domestic rival David Haye twice pulled out of a fight with Fury last year.

Tickets for the contest will still be valid for the fight and a new date for it is set to be announced next week.
