World Class Sport Science Testing

During his recent training camp, IBF world champion Kell Brook took part in our World Class Physiological Assessment at Sheffield Hallam University.

Danny Wilson and Alan Ruddock took the undefeated welterweight boxer through a series of sport science tests, assessing his strength, movement, speed, punch force and endurance.

Why is this important?

Testing is one of the most important aspects of an effective sport science program. Results can inform the sport science practitioners and boxing coaches of the boxers strengths and areas for improvement. This allows us to structure an effective program, to set appropriate goals and evaluate the success of the training program.
