John Dennen has been writing for <em>Boxing News</em> since 2010. After a brief stint as an unsuccessful amateur boxer he began working at the magazine as an editorial assistant, when he was shortlisted for the Sports Journalists’ Association’s prestigious Young Sportswriter of the Year award.
