Tyson Fury v Anthony Joshua: 50 fans’ views

50 boxing fans have their say on a potential clash of Tyson Fury v Anthony Joshua – who would win and why

Gaz Taylor
Before the Dillian fight I couldn’t call it. But AJ can take a dig. He has got a heart and fights like a lion. He beats Fury for me.

John Kelly
I think Joshua needs to join the queue at Fury’s door. I would want him to prove himself first with some decent opposition. How about David Price, Tony Thompson, Malik Scott, Kubrat Pulev and then Erkan Teper for the European title. Tough challenges but nothing to fear if he really is world class as they are all eminently beatable.

Richard Hill
Joshua because Tyson Fury is the worst champion at any weight division for over 40 years!

Ben Marsh
Is this a joke? Tyson beat Klitschko – rated one of the best ever heavyweights (on paper at least). Who has Joshua boxed? I like big Josh but see him getting seriously exposed if he was to box on the world scene tomorrow.

Lee Wragg
Looking at the 15 fights AJ has had, he clearly needs a proper bout, they’ve looked like hand-picked opponents. Fury is the one for him, and he will struggle fighting Fury, yes he has the power, that doesn’t mean he has the professional standard like Fury does.

Josh Vickers
People need to stop this Joshua train. It’s getting on my tits. Whyte put one hand on his chin in the second round on Saturday and Joshua was all over the place. As soon as he is matched up with heavyweights like this he won’t stand a chance as of yet. As much as I think Fury will kill him, I think the question is why does AJ deserve that fight yet?

Chris Davies
Tyson Fury has talent without doubt. He switches stances, he boxes at distance and leads with his jab. AJ also has talent but because of his attacking style he will always be prone to be caught by a counter-punch. I think Fury could prove too much right now.

Spencer Tarrant
Anyone that is saying AJ would do Fury right now is way off the mark! I like AJ but he has a long way to go yet before stepping in with Fury. Those that say otherwise, stick to UFC and Rocky movies, leave technical boxing to the true fans.

Ross Molloy
Tyson fury at this minute in time! AJ has just experienced his first real fight! He needs to work on a lot of things then he will be ready. I reckon 2017 could be his year.

Robert Welsh
Anyone who wants to fight Fury should beat Klitckho first. Joshua is another David Price.
