THIS is the dawning of a new era; the Tyson Fury era started on Saturday night and I hope to be as good a champion as Wladimir was. I can box, brawl, fight orthodox, southpaw, move, jab, I’m the full package. I’m not too bothered who I fight next but I’m the champ now so it’s all on my terms, I went into the lion’s den so let’s see if he returns the favour. I just want to take in what I’ve achieved and I’m enjoying the moment, but, let’s not make mistakes, I’m the hottest property in boxing at the moment. After the fight, I was on my knees in the hotel room, thanking God and I promised not to go out drinking and having a lavish lifestyle. I promised to do good things as world heavyweight champion, like helping people who need it. I intend to be a champion of the people.
