3. Carbohydrates

FOLLOWING a weigh-in, ‘carb-loading’ is vitally important to make sure a boxer enters the ring with as much stored energy as possible. Chocolate milk contains over 60g of carbohydrate in every 500ml. All of the carbs in chocolate milk are high-GI, which means they are rapidly digested and stored in the body – the winning combination following a weigh-in!
