THE world title fight between Lee Selby, the “Welsh Mayweather”, and IBF featherweight champion, Evgeny Gradovich has been agreed to take place on April 25 at the O2 in London.

Brimming with confidence, Selby spoke to Boxing News this week about the Russian. “I was ringside for his draw with Jayson Velez. He was decent, I expected more from Velez, from his record I thought he’d be a big puncher, plus BoxRec said he was 5ft 10ins but he wasn’t that big and didn’t punch that hard. Gradovich tried to box how he usually boxes, coming forward and trying to wear his opponent down. He’s easy to hit, not a lot of lateral movement and he’s not a devastating puncher,” the Welshman said. “He’s strong but not a concussive puncher.
“He’s not exceptionally fast. He does everything well but nothing great.”
