BRASH, outspoken and increasingly popular, Tyson Fury is also one of the best heavyweights in the world today.
His passage through the sport has been tumultuous. He dethroned the great Wladimir Klitschko with a remarkable performance in Germany. But his career subsequently went off the rails. He had personal troubles, an anti-doping violation and his weight ballooned. Out of the sport for two years, he lost an extraordinary amount of weight to get back fighting fit. Early on in his return he challenged WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in America. Fury rose from a huge knockdown only to be denied victory in a controversial draw.
