CANELO ALVAREZ underlined his status as the best fighter in the sport as he forced Billy Joe Saunders to stay on his stool after the eighth round.
Prior to the abrupt finish it had been an intriguing bout with Canelo starting fast and Saunders gaining a foothold, of sorts, in the middle rounds.
