JOSH TAYLOR w pts 12 REGIS PROGRAIS
October 26, 2019; O2 Arena, London
IT seems like fantasy looking back just 12 months to a different world. Leaning over to converse with a fellow ringsider, getting closer and closer to hear them through the din of the crowd. Social distancing was an alien concept and anyone wearing a mask would have been deemed trouble. It’s nice to look back and remember. When Josh Taylor and Regis Prograis combined to create a bout of the highest quality. When they took it in turns to take control of one of the best fights of the year, to rally and somehow up their games as their swollen faces threatened to fall apart. In the end, Taylor won a majority decision to become the man to beat at super-lightweight. A modern classic in every sense of the word.

DID YOU KNOW? Eddie Hearn recently told BN this bout produced the lowest number of pay-per-view buys of any Sky Box Office event he’d been involved in. A grim but telling declaration.

WATCH OUT FOR: All of it.
