John Scully investigates the dangers of PEDs in boxing

JOHN SCULLY has been around boxing for many years, as an amateur, world-class professional, and accomplished trainer. In this week’s Boxing News, in light of the ongoing controversy around heavyweight Erkan Teper, Scully discusses the issue of PEDs in the sport.

It’s deeply concerning. I sparred with a guy on time who was taking steroids and, let me tell you, the power was evident. The strength was evident. I also have a good friend of mine who had a stablemate using steroids and today, 10 years later, he recently blamed that fighter and his trainer for the neurological issues he’s experienced over the last few years.
