BRADLEY SAUNDERS suffered the first loss of his professional career on the undercard of Stephen Smith’s world title eliminator with Devis Boschiero on Saturday (September 19) at Liverpool’s Olympia.

The defeat happened in extraordinary circumstances with humble Frenchman Renald Garrido coming in with a 14-11-1 (2) record but putting the hot prospect down in the sixth round. Bradley capped an evening to forget when, under pressure, he landed a blatant head butt to lose by disqualification in that round.

Sean Dodd came in at short notice to box Gary Buckland and picked up an impressive points win to book a shot at British lightweight champion Scott Cardle.
