JOSEPH PARKER – a possible future opponent for Anthony Joshua – retained his WBO heavyweight championship with a unanimous decision win over Razvan Cojanu on Saturday.

The New Zealander did not look particularly explosive in winning on all three cards and his performance is unlikely to rattle Joshua too much.

In fact, it was Dillian Whyte – beaten by Joshua in 2015 – who was seeking a fight with Parker, tweeting promoter Eddie Hearn and asking him to “please make it”.

Joshua has said he will return to training on Monday after his thrilling win over Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley last weekend.
