Miles Templeton is widely acknowledged as one of the UK’s leading authorities on the history of British boxing. He specialises in the production of fight records for every man who has stepped into a British ring since 1890 and he has the largest database of contests in existence. He has appeared on many TV programmes and documentaries as a boxing expert, and he is currently in the process of planning a major work – a detailed book on the history of the sport in Britain during the twentieth century. He is also Chairman, and the Chief Inspector, of the Northern Area of the British Boxing Board of Control.
