AN agreement has been reached for Anthony Joshua to fight Dillian Whyte for the British heavyweight title. Eddie Hearn will promote the fight with the date and venue yet to be determined.

At the end of last month Hearn told Boxing News that he expected the fight to take place in November, with Joshua due to box on September 12 at the O2 while Whyte recovers from a hand injury.

Dillian holds a victory over Joshua from early on in their amateur careers. Whyte boxed most recently in February in Belfast on the Carl Frampton-Chris Avalos undercard. London 2012 Olympic gold medallist Joshua made a statement in his last outing, when he destroyed fringe contender Kevin Johnson on May 30 also at the O2.
