THE fight is on, so the bidding war can begin.  With just over two months to go until Floyd Mayweather takes on Manny Pacquiao, the TV heavyweights are out in force to get in on the action.
Sky, BT, ITV, Box Nation and the BBC could all go into the TV boxing ring for this one but Paddy Power think there’s only one winner in it. Sky, the pay-per-view queens are 1/9 to bag the TV rights to this boxing bonanza, with BT second up at 6/1, Boxnation at 20/1 with the rest of the market out at 33s.
And if the bosses at Sky are in any way worried about how deep they may have to dig into their overflowing pockets, they can rest assured they’ll be getting a good return.  With the clash set to break record books across the board, it’s no surprise the bookmaker is offering  just 1/7 that the fight will see TV PPV sales well and truly smashed.
Paddy Power said, “It won’t take until May for the first punches to be thrown on this one – we expect a few heavy hits to be thrown around in the TV boardrooms well before round one.”

Who will win the TV rights to Mayweather vs Pacquiao:
1/9         Sky
6/1         BT
20/1       Boxnation
33/1       ITV
33/1       BBC
