HALL of Fame boxing historian and Showtime analyst Steve Farhood examines the boxing career of four-division world champion Adrien Broner in advance of his 140-pound bout against undefeated champion Mikey Garcia.
From his sterling split-decision win over Paulie Malignaggi at Barclays in 2013, to his “nightmare of a night” and first loss to Marcos Maidana later that year, Farhood dives deep into the career of the Cincinnati-native Broner highlighting each pivotal fight.
“This is a critical moment for Broner,” Farhood says. “It might seem harsh to label a fighter who has won world titles in four weight classes an underachiever. But if Broner is to be considered among the best in the world, he has to beat at least some of the best in the world. The undefeated Mikey Garcia is certainly among the very best… This is exactly the type of opportunity Broner needs at this point in his uneven career.”
