TRAINER Peter Fury is satisfied the simmering row over the gloves Tyson Fury will wear for the Wladimir Klitschko fight has been resolved.

Speaking after the fighters weighed in today in Essen, he insisted the dispute had not been a distraction in the final days before the fight. “Mind games aren’t going to work,” Peter said.

“I think it’s been resolved. We’re going into the rules meeting now and I believe everything’s pretty straightforward.”

He was satisfied too with the weigh-in itself. “The main thing is they’re similar weight so I’m very happy with that,” Peter said.

“It’s going to be very interesting this fight, he’s prepared very well, I think we could see the best Tyson Fury we’ve seen.

“We need the victory. That’s what I’m looking at. I’m not looking at being a competitor.”

The trainer cautioned, “This is boxing, this is why it’s so entertaining, this fight can end in one punch.”
