RELIVE Miguel Cotto’s devastating performance on Saturday night (June 6) when he destroyed Daniel Geale in four explosive rounds at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

It was the Puerto Rican’s third fight under Freddie Roach’s esteemed tutelage and the first defence of the WBC middleweight title he snatched from Sergio Martinez last June.

Roach has reaffirmed Cotto’s left hook as one of the most potent punches in boxing today as the champion floored the brave Geale twice and he has now scored six knockdowns in two appearances as a middleweight.

ESPN’s Dan Rafael reported that Nielsen Media Research have revealed that the fight peaked at just over 1.6million viewers. Making it the third highest rating cable fight of the year for American broadcaster’s HBO.

The highest of which was Saul Alvarez‘s annihillation of James Kirkland in Houston last month which peaked at nearly 2.3million.

With Cotto and Alvarez mooted to face each other later this year, we could have the second biggest fight ever just a few months since the ‘Fight of the Century‘.
