CARL FRAMPTON and Scott Quigg both successfully weigh in ahead of tomorrow’s mouth-watering IBF and WBA super-bantamweight unification clash at the Manchester Arena.
Frampton tipped the scales at 8st 9lb 7oz or 121.7lbs and brimming with confidence added: “I made the weight easy. The check-weight was on point. I did it easier than I’ve ever done it. Everything’s going wrong for them and I’m on fire, ready to go.”
Quigg was just an ounce lighter at 8st 9lb 6oz (121.6lbs) and told UK broadcaster Sky Sports: “He couldn’t keep still, playing games and moving his hands. I’m here to fight. The judges won’t be needed. I respect him as a fighter but the way I’ve performed in the gym, the best Carl Frampton can’t touch the best Scott Quigg.”
