THE future of Manny Pacquiao’s training partnership with Freddie Roach has been thrown into doubt.

Pacquiao has had a vastly successful career and Roach has been a perennial presence in his corner.

Manny lost a decision to Jeff Horn in Australia in 2017. A year on he will fight Lucas Matthysse on July 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a WBA welterweight title.

But as speculation mounted that Pacquiao has parted ways with Roach, Manny has not confirmed whether Freddie will be his trainer for his next fight.

Manny Pacquiao said, “Contrary to statements which I personally did not make that are circulating in the media, I have not made my final decision who will be my head trainer for my July 14 fight with Matthysse. My advisor Mike Koncz has been in contact with Freddie’s people to keep them informed. I will make a final decision within the week. When that decision is made, Freddie will be the first one to be informed and then I will advise the media.”
