GENNADY GOLOVKIN has so far looked imperious in the ring, but – having recently swatted aside Dominic Wade – the destructive Kazakh needs a defining fight.

We were ringside to watch the two-round sacrifice of IBF mandatory challenger Wade, and urge for Golovkin’s fellow leading middleweights (and their respective teams) to put the 34-year-old’s fearsome reputation to the test.

The winners of the two fights are set to meet in the summer, and we preview the card.

In his guest column, John Scully calls for boxers who fail drugs tests to be banned from the sport, and even feels the infringement should be punishable by jail time. We also speak to David Price, who reacts to the revelation that Erkan Teper – a drugs cheat – is ranked third in the world by the IBF.
