IT’S time for Anthony Joshua vs Carlos Takam. After defeating Wladimir Klitschko in thrilling style at Wembley stadium in April, Anthony Joshua rocketed to the top of the sporting world. Now he descends on the Principality stadium in Cardiff to defend his WBA and IBF heavyweight titles against Carlos Takam.
Takam stepped in at short notice when Kubrat Pulev had to withdraw due to injury. Takam does look in shape and is a different style to Pulev. The fight could be explosive as long as it lasts.
On the undercard Sho Ishida challenges Kal Yafai for the WBA super-flyweight world title. Katie Taylor bids to win the WBA lightweight title against Anahi Sanchez (who lost her title on the scales when she failed to make weight).
Frank Buglioni fights Craig Richards for the British light-heavyweight title. Dillian Whyte is in action against heavyweight Robert Helenius. A trio of Rio 2016 Olympians; Joe Cordina, Joshua Buatsi and Lawrence Okolie will also be in action.
