IT may sound ambitious, especially coming off a straightforward six round win over Frankie Gavin, but Kell Brook, the IBF welterweight can plot out a course to lead him to a fight with Manny Pacquiao.

He next defence is likely to come on August 29 in Sheffield, with Brandon Rios Brook’s preferred target. That should interest American broadcaster HBO. Kell then wants a unification clash with the winner of Tim Bradley-Jessie Vargas, who contest the WBO welterweight strap on June 27 on a Top Rank promotion. Victory there could put him in a position to fight Manny Pacquiao in 2016.

“Those fights excite me. Bradley or Vargas, the winner, that’s an exciting fight. Pacquiao obviously, I want to be in with the best. It’s a small window. I want to fight the best, Pacquiao, Bradley, Mayweather, [Keith] Thurman, all those top fighters. That’s what I want,” Brook said.
