BIRMINGHAM’S Kal Yafai will challenge Luis Concepcion for the WBA super-flyweight world title on December 10.

The fight will take place on the Anthony Joshua undercard at the Manchester Arena.

Yafai is now 20-0 (14) after tuning up with a knock out win Johnson Tellez in the third round, of a scheduled six, at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham on Saturday.

“It’s good to shake off some rust,” Kal said. “I’ve completed one whole round this year so it was good to get a few in there against a heavier opponent. He took some stick but I always find a way and I will find a way on December 10.”

Concepcion has been on impressive run since losing a WBC title challenge to Carlos Cuadras last year. He beat Hernan Marquez to win the WBA Interim title in Panama last December and then outscored Kohei Kono in Tokyo in August to win the world title.
