EDUARD GUTKNECHT was taken to hospital after collapsing in his changing room following a 12-round points loss to George Groves at Wembley Arena.

The pair were fighting for a lofty WBA super-middleweight ranking and the German was outboxed and hurt several ties during the fight, which also saw his right eye swell massively.

The 34-year-old fell ill in his changing room and was taken to hospital on a stretcher. There has been no further update on his condition, but members of Groves’ team such as trainer Shane McGuigan took to social media in support of Gutknecht.
