CONFIDENCE is high that Carl Frampton versus Scott Quigg will be made for February 2016.

Discussions for the long awaited showdown are on going, but Eddie Hearn, Quigg’s promoter, said they were “very close to the Frampton fight”.

Suggesting the bout could be staged in Manchester, he continued, “We’re getting to stage where if it doesn’t happen now I don’t think it’ll ever happen. But both camps have said it’s the closest it’s ever been to happening. If we don’t get it over the line now I don’t think it’ll ever happen.”
