WITH Canelo-GGG just over one week away, Amir Khan breaks down the middleweight superfight and picks the winner…

CANELO ALVAREZ has quick hands, punches hard, has good movement and I think he has more experience of being in bigger fights, tougher fights and being under pressure than Gennady Golovkin – that could be a factor.

Canelo has half-decent footwork as well and his upper body is very good which “Triple G” doesn’t really have so that’s why I’m leaning more towards Canelo in this fight. It’s a 50-50 fight though.

In my opinion I’ve got Canelo winning this fight because he’s got a lot more movement. Triple G is a great fighter, unbeaten as well, and what happens with him is I think he is very static and in his last couple of fights, he has not really been showing how good he is. His last few performances have not been the best and against Daniel Jacobs he had a very tough fight.

DIFFICULT NIGHT: Khan believes Jacobs [right] deserved the decision over Golovkin

A lot of people thought he lost that and I was one of those guys. With Canelo, I’ve fought the guy, been in the ring with him and I think he is a class act, he is a good boxer who moves well and hits very, very hard.

LIFE IN THE FAST LANE: Khan [right] has experienced the menace of Canelo

When people say that Triple G is the power puncher in this fight I think they might be wrong because I think Canelo also is one of the biggest punchers in the division. I just think Canelo wins this fight on points. He can box as well as punch.
