THE Haringey Box Cup is an event not to be missed. It’s one of the largest amateur tournaments in Europe, featuring over 400 pugilists, competing across four rings in Alexandra Palace from June 17-19. No less than three London 2012 champions have come through the competition on their way to Olympic glory, Nicola Adams, Katie Taylor and current IBF world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. Chris Eubank Jr won his last silverware as an amateur at the Haringey Box Cup before going on to professional glory.

As well as offering a stage for the stars of the future, the tournament provides competitive opportunities for boxers at all levels and this year is being supported by William Hill’s ‘Close to Home’ community initiative.
