Margarito's standing

First of all let me say that I agree almost 100% with the ratings of pound for pound. I always thought that Margarito would beat Miguel Cotto, I remember how he, Margarito, did beat Kermin Cintron in his last fight before facing Cotto, and I came to the conclusion that if a puncher like Cintron, harder puncher than Cotto, could not defeat Margarito Cotto would stand little chance, I envisage the fight against Cotto would be very similar than against Cintron, i.e. Margarito taking punches (this man is as hard a leather!)and eventually bearing down on his opponent, and that was what happenned. Margarito rem8inds me Carlos Monzon, the former middleweight campion, he, Margarito, is very tall for his division, like Monzon was, has got long arms and punches hard taking his opponent's punches wihtout ever showing any distress and eventually brings down his opponent, Monzon used to do that, both look a little ponderous but they are real killers!

Cotto.

I agree mostly with the ratings but I would place Cotto above Pavlik simply for the fact that he has fought a higher quality of opponents overall.

cotto better than pavlik?

yea i definitely agree that cotto should be ranked higher than pavlik and pavlik didnt fight that much good enough fighter compared to the fighters who fought cotto.

-Nearly 2009, HERE-

"Toss-up" Pacquiao/Calzaghe. Amazeing how some of the -writers- "write off" M.P. against Oscar de la Hoya. I hope O.dlH.can win but...SEEMS UNDECEIDED BEFORE HAND, TO ME... WE seen what happened with the OTHER "big Star" when he stepped up a division. Was it a peek to this coming fight, too?

dela hoya

delahoya should b in there coz he nearly beat floyd mayweather in there fight

LOL

De la hoya shud not be anywhere near now maybe back in the day he would have been pound for pound no.1 but after the manny fight its never gonna happen and even if he did take mayweather 12 rounds it maens nothing that was at one division where as manny has mover about 5 divisions and destroyed most of them hence pound for pound king and also why calzaghe doesnt get the recognision he deserves as he only faught at 2 weights undefeated or not

Shane should be top

Shane Mosley should be in the top 3 or 4 after pulverizing margerito in a great performance, just as good as hopkins v pavlik if not better. I loved his tenacity pushing the bigger much fancied margerito back catching him with beautiful fast punches. I think he would k.o hatton on that form, Shane v pacquiao would be a classic 50/50 fight.

why isnt hatton?

why isnt ricky hatton in the top 10 pound for pound and cotto is? when ricky lost to mayweather the former pound for pound king. he finds himself out of the top ten. but cotto gets smashed up by margarito and still in the the top ten?
