BN hits Thursdays
This week's issue
THIS is a truly historic week as Boxing News, the world's oldest boxing magazine, switches its publication day from Fridays to Thursdays. This means an extra day on the shelves and in the readers' hands before the weekend action kicks off.
The new era is spearheaded by Donald McRae's exclusive and intimate portrait of Joe Calzaghe, who discusses his career, comeback rumours and the post-retirement scandals he has fallen into.
We also preview the huge show in Las Vegas featuring the Juan Manuel Marquez-Juan Diaz rematch, Jorge Linares-Rocky Juarez, Robert Guerrero-Joel Casamayor and our own George Groves in his American debut.
We report from ringside in Houghton-le-Spring as Stuart Hall defends his British bantamweight crown against old foe Martin Power, plus we have reports on Craig McEwan's latest bout and the controversial Danny Green-Paul Briggs clash.
We have an intensive Q and A with the luckless Juarez, Editor Tris Dixon's columns focuses on Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito and we have news exclusives with Andre Berto, Ashley Theophane and more.
Thursday is the new Friday!
