Boxing News makes its century
This week's issue
THIS is the big one! This Friday marks the centenary of Britain's boxing Bible. Every punch, every week (mostly) every year since September 11 1909. Before detailing the content of this historic issue, everyone at BN would just like to say a big thank-you to all our loyal readers for helping to make the magazine what it is and for supporting us throughout our history. We couldn't do it without you so here's to another 100 years.
To commemorate our centenary, we have added an extra four pages to the main magazine plus a special 40-page pull-out which documents the 100 most extraordinary moments in Boxing News' history, as well as 10 top 10s on such subjects as hardmen, myths and films and a revealing look at the Editors of the world's longest-running boxing magazine.
But wait, there's more! Our six-page Big Feature presents tons of unique boxing facts from the last 100 years, while in his column, Editor Claude Abrams looks at how the sport has changed over the decades, through the eyes of Boxing News.
There is plenty of non-centenary-related content also. We have ringside reports from John Simpson-Paul Truscott II and John O'Donnell-Tom Glover, previews of John McDermott-Tyson Fury and big fights involving future foes Mikkel Kessler and Andre Ward, and interviews with Clinton Woods, Matthew Hatton, Rendall Munroe and Ashley Sexton.
Phew; it's been a lot of hard work but oh so worth it.

Well Done Guys
Congratulations men. Not many magazines can say theyve accomplished what you have. I havent missed an edition for six and a half years. My favoutite period was when Frank Warren barred you from attending his shows. Some absolute quality letters were featured in your seconds out column back then. I remember the headline "YOUR NOT WELCOME" Keep up the good work guys. Well done
