ANDREW MOLONEY is a surprise choice for number one but at the Commonwealth Games he managed what the celebrated Andrew Selby did not, he won the gold medal.

Charlie Edwards got drawn out of his gameplan against Reece McFadden but Moloney managed to block out the crowd and maintain his composure, a measured performance that won him their semi-final.

He was one of two Australian boxers to win gold medals at Glasgow 2014 and is now boxing professionally in Australia.
